Photoneo's 3D Scanner for simple Machine Vision applications

Photoneo has introduced the Alpha 3D Scanner, a 3D "plug and play" scanner targeted for simple machine vision activities such as logistics. The scanner uses structured light 3D sensing technology and has a resolution of 1440 x 1080, a maximum ideal scanning distance of up to 2331 mm, a maximum scanning distance of up to 3780 mm, a sweet spot scanning area of 1091 x 761 mm, and a scanning time starting at 450 ms. It has a 24V power supply, PoE capability, and a 1 Gbit ethernet connection. It measures 416 x 68 x 86 mm, weighs 950 g, has an operating temperature range of 0 to 40°C, and is IP65 rated.
